Kidney Awareness Month & World Kidney Day
World Kidney Day is a global campaign that aims to raise awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health.
One of the main concerns for patients is how to keep their kidney(s) as healthy as possible. There are general guidelines for maintaining kidney health, but other health issues such as diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart condition, etc., need to be considered. If you need help or have questions, ask your healthcare team to refer you to a dietitian.
See the link below for suggestions on how to keep your kidney(s) healthy.

Genetics and genomics, two words we hear together more and more. They seem to be used interchangeably but are there any differences? After an introduction on this subject at our Patient & Caregiver National Forum last year, we are thrilled that Dr. Raymond Kim, medical geneticist at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, accepted our invitation for a more in-depth look at genetics and genomics.
