Information session: Introducing oncology pharmacies
Navigating access to take-home drugs for kidney cancer is not easy. If we don’t have access to an oncology pharmacy through our cancer centre or drug access navigator the process can be very complex and stressful to the patient and their caregiver.
Oncology pharmacies bridge a crucial gap by helping patients navigate the healthcare system with the expertise of oncology pharmacists and drug access navigators. These professionals can also assist with reimbursement and financial assistance, ensuring that patients receive the necessary support throughout their treatment. Their comprehensive patient support programs are designed to address various needs, making the treatment journey smoother and more manageable.
Alan Birch from Haven Oncology joins us to introduce us to oncology pharmacies and their patient support programs.
