A word from our Board Chair

Dear Kidney Cancer Canada Community,

As we approach the end of another year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the progress we’ve made together in 2024. This has been a transformative year for Kidney Cancer Canada, marked by a busy period of Board renewal and the development of a new strategic plan, which we are excited to launch in 2025.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our donors, sponsors, and partners for your unwavering support. Your contributions have been instrumental in allowing us to continue with our impact and reaffirm our commitment to reaching more Canadians diagnosed with kidney cancer.

This year, we have prioritized patient education, family and caregiver support, and advocacy for equitable access to cancer drugs and treatments. We recognize the challenges many face navigating their kidney cancer needs within our complex healthcare system. We are steadfast in our commitment to improving outcomes for kidney cancer patients and addressing the gaps in care that persist, and we need to work hard to reach patients and their caregivers and families. This is our priority.

Our vision for the future includes being part of the change required to support solutions for rare cancers like kidney cancer, including advancing the vital research needed to drive better outcomes.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire KCC team, thank you for your ongoing commitment to improving the lives of people affected by kidney cancer. Together, we are making a difference, and we look forward to continuing this important work in 2025 and beyond.

Wishing you and your loved ones a healthy and peaceful holiday season.

Sincerely,

Marion Cooper
President of the Board of Directors
