THE DOCTOR IS IN 24 HOURS A DAY: A first for Canadian Kidney Cancer Patients
A note from Stephen, our Executive Director
Today we are very excited to launch a new and unique resource to help you.
The Kidney Cancer Video Knowledge Library is a first for patients and caregivers – a depository of hundreds of questions and answers of kidney cancer facts, symptoms, and treatment options.
This project began in 2017. Every day, our team receives questions from patients and caregivers who look for answers about kidney cancer and treatment options.
We see a pattern in the questions – people want the answers from clinicians and other health care professionals.
The members of our Medical Advisory Board do an excellent job. They respond to questions as time permits, but this project puts Canadian health care professionals at the fingertips of patients and caregivers 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. We now have doctors who specialize in treating kidney cancer providing information on symptoms to the latest on how to treat advanced disease.
The Kidney Cancer Video Knowledge Library is the latest engagement project from Kidney Cancer Canada – Cancer du rein Canada. We are the only Canadian patient led registered charity providing support, education and advocacy focused exclusively on kidney cancer for patients and caregivers.
Questions and answers added weekly, and in the spring of 2019, a French Language Kidney Cancer Video Knowledge Library is scheduled to open.
Please check out the Kidney Cancer Video Knowledge Library at kcc-forum.eproofs.ca/library and let us know what you think. Also, you can submit your own question and as we expand the library, we will add it to the list.
Thank you for staying engaged and for your continued support.
Here’s to better health!
Stephen
